Wood chippers – equipment for domestic and professional use

Professional branch shredders reduce the volume of garden waste by turning it into compost. They also clear up after storms, shred corn stalks (Jerusalem artichoke, hogweed, rosehip, lupin and other garden vegetation), prepare raw materials for solid fuel and pyrolysis boilers, and cut branches from pruned fruit trees.

These machines speed up the process of processing weeds and recycling wood waste. They can shred slats, battens and planks. They come in garden, industrial, domestic and holiday home models. The result of the machine’s operation is the production of small blocks, fine shavings and wood chips. This material can be used as an environmentally friendly fertiliser or an effective fuel for heating.

THE BENEFITS OF USING TECHNOLOGY

This high-performance branch shredder enables local authorities to use fewer lorries to transport cut branches out of town. It reduces the volume of garden waste by several times and produces a compact pile of branches that is easy to move around the site. Other advantages of the machine:

  • -simplifies home heating (prepares logs of the required length for the stove);
  • -reduces the time and labour required for processing branches;
  • -helps keep the site tidy;
  • -it can cut through wood of various thicknesses (the maximum limit is specified in the specifications for each model);
  • -it is protected against overload by a reliable friction clutch;
  • -it is manufactured entirely at the Arpal factory.

A petrol or electric branch shredder is lightweight, compact, easy to use, runs quietly, can last for years, does not consume much oil (petrol models), and is powerful.

WHAT SHOULD YOU LOOK FOR WHEN CHOOSING APPLIANCES?

Branch shredders should be chosen based on the specific tasks you intend to carry out. If you plan to process branches on a regular and continuous basis, you should consider purchasing professional models such as the AM-160BD-K PRO, AM-160TR-K, AM-140TR-K PRO, AM-160BD-K and others. They are capable of cutting branches with a diameter of 16 cm. In one hour of operation, they process up to 12 cubic metres of branches. Their blades rotate at a speed of 220 revolutions per minute.

For domestic use, simpler models such as the AM-60BD, AM-60E, AM-80TR, AM-80BD and others are suitable. Their blade rotation speed is higher (up to 360 revolutions per minute), but the volume of branches processed is much lower (up to 2 cubic metres per hour). They are powered by low-power engines (7 hp) and consume significantly less A-92 petrol. These are ideal options for the home, a holiday cottage or a small garden plot.
